Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Davenport, Iowa. In this position, you will play a key role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Review financial documents to identify trends, fluctuations, and irregularities.

• Create and deliver ad hoc reports based on organizational needs.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Evaluate and document changes in accounting procedures to optimize processes.

• Implement and adhere to financial policies and procedures.

• Apply advanced accounting principles, theories, and concepts, including statutory and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support month-end close processes.

• Manage reinsurance accounting tasks and maintain accurate records. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting with attention to detail.

• Familiarity with insurance and/or reinsurance accounting is preferred.

• Proficiency in general ledger management and bank reconciliations.

• Expertise in journal entries and month-end close procedures.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance standards.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
