Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Naperville, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to work within the insurance industry, managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit management, customer service, and collection processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable portfolios, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.

• Utilize tools such as Accurint and Microsoft Excel to analyze and track payment data.

• Communicate effectively with clients to resolve payment discrepancies and negotiate payment plans.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address billing issues and improve collection processes.

• Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions.

• Review and assess credit information to determine appropriate collection strategies.

• Provide exceptional customer service while handling sensitive financial matters.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

• Generate reports on collection activities and accounts receivable performance.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in the collections workflow. Requirements

• Proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounts receivable systems.

• Knowledge of tools such as Accurint and other credit management resources.

• Strong understanding of collection processes and best practices.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to provide exceptional customer service with a focus on attention to detail.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience working within the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.

The hourly salary range for this position is $25.00 to $30.00. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
