Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills in managing invoice processing, data entry, and account reconciliation. Responsibilities:

• Process and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner to ensure proper financial documentation.

• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies by working closely with vendors and internal teams.

• Perform check runs, including preparing and issuing payments, while adhering to company policies.

• Conduct data entry tasks with precision to maintain up-to-date financial records.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze, organize, and report financial data effectively.

• Assist with month-end closing activities by ensuring all accounts payable tasks are completed.

• Respond to vendor inquiries and address payment-related issues promptly and professionally.

• Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and enhance efficiency in accounts payable operations. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

• Strong proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and account reconciliation.

• Experience performing check runs and handling payment processing.

• Proficient in data entry with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis tools.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders.

• Familiarity with standard accounting practices and procedures.
