Description

We are offering a long term contract, possibly contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Downtown NYC! The selected candidate will be instrumental in processing high-volume payroll, handling inquiries, and conducting audits. Furthermore, the role involves participation in special projects and ERP enhancements, along with the resolution of payroll discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently monitor and manage the high-volume Payroll email inbox, aiding employees and internal business partners with their inquiries.

• Responsible for the execution of weekly and biweekly payroll runs across multiple legal entities using ADP and WorkDay.

• Conduct thorough payroll audits before finalizing and locking payroll.

• Regularly prepare reconciliations for various accounts, including 401, garnishments, etc.

• Aid in ad hoc reconciliations, projects, and audit requests as per requirement.

• Investigate and rectify payroll discrepancies.

• Engage in special projects, optimization initiatives, ERP enhancements, internal controls, and ad hoc analyses.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficiency with ADP Smart Compliance is preferred but not required

• Experience with About Time software

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Auditing skills are essential

• Workday payroll proficiency is highly preferred
