Lead and Grow a High-Impact Accounting Team as Our Next Accounting Manager!

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions and teams. This role ensures efficient financial operations, supports monthly reporting, and upholds compliance with internal controls and policies. The role includes personnel management responsibilities with a strong focus on training, succession planning, and process improvement.

Essential Functions

Team Leadership & Development

+ Train and mentor AP and AR team members with succession planning in mind

+ Ensure adequate cross-training to allow team coverage during absences

+ Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented work environment

Accounts Receivable (AR) Responsibilities

+ Manage deduction resolution processes for direct accounts

+ Review and approve new direct and export accounts

+ Review credit holds and manage daily processing of prepay orders

+ Perform AR-related tasks for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close

+ Provide analysis and recommendations for write-offs and reserve requirements

+ Monitor unused credits and ensure timely refunds or Unclaimed Property reporting

Accounts Payable (AP) Responsibilities

+ Oversee the complete AP cycle, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and promotional payments

+ Maintain systems, procedures, and policies for AP processing in compliance with company standards

+ Prepare, distribute, and file annual Form 1099s

+ Manage month-end and year-end closing of the AP module ensuring accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, along with experience using accounting ERP systems

• Demonstrated ability to calculate and analyze financial data, including discounts, interest, and percentages.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

• A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to tackle challenges with resilience and creativity.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvements
