Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant with nonprofit experience to join our client's team in Wilsonville, Oregon. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in reconciliations, general ledger management, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

• Conduct balance sheet reviews and reconciliations to maintain integrity across financial records.

• Oversee bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account adjustments.

• Support month-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and reporting is precise.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting to streamline accounting operations.

• Handle grant and fund accounting for non-profit organizations, ensuring proper allocation and tracking.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance financial processes and workflows.

• Work with Workday Financial Management software to optimize financial operations and reporting.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve overall financial accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes and deadlines.

• Experience in grant accounting and fund accounting within non-profit organizations.

• Hands-on experience with Workday Financial Management software.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
