Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client's team in Huntsville, Alabama. This Contract-to-Permanent position requires a strong background in corporate general ledger accounting and strong GAAP knowledge. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while working onsite three days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.

• Utilize ERP systems to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level accounting staff to foster detail-oriented growth.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial operations.

• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management to support decision-making.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of journal entries and adjustments.

• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards to maintain compliance.

Requirements • Proven experience in corporate general ledger accounting, with a track record of managing financial operations.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and their application to accounting processes.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Ability to work onsite three days per week in Huntsville, Alabama.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
