Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role as the face and voice of the office, ensuring clients feel welcomed and supported. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in medical or legal settings who values organization and thrives in a client-facing role.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for clients by greeting visitors and answering incoming calls with professionalism.
• Conduct intake screenings, gather client information, and collaborate with the intake manager to evaluate cases.
• Manage and organize files, including indexing, e-filing, and distributing documents to appropriate team members.
• Assist with office administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Handle scheduling and ensure timely communication with clients and other departments.
• Display empathy and support when interacting with clients, particularly those dealing with sensitive circumstances.
• Maintain a detail-oriented demeanor and ensure the front office represents the business’s values and standards.
• Utilize case management software and Microsoft 365 tools to track and manage client information efficiently. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or legal reception role, with a preference for medical experience.
• Proficiency in using case management systems and software such as Allscripts, Cerner, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage files, schedules, and administrative tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an attentive and empathetic demeanor.
• Familiarity with billing functions, answering inbound calls, and maintaining legal or medical documentation.
• Ability to work independently and remain dependable in a fast-paced environment.
• A high level of maturity and commitment to fulfilling responsibilities.
