Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. This role requires an individual who excels in providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical or dental office and be comfortable interacting with patients in a detail-oriented and courteous manner.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients upon arrival and ensure a welcoming environment.

• Verify and update patient insurance coverage with accuracy.

• Manage inbound phone calls, including scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries.

• Maintain and update patient records in compliance with organizational standards.

• Facilitate the check-in and check-out process for patients efficiently.

• Provide support to patients by answering questions and resolving concerns.

• Operate and manage a multi-line phone system effectively.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth office operations.

• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and visitors at all times. Requirements • Previous experience in a medical or dental office environment is preferred.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle patient interactions professionally.

• Proficiency in verifying insurance coverage and understanding insurance processes.

• Ability to operate a multi-line phone system efficiently.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Familiarity with patient scheduling systems and record management.
