Description

We are in search of an Attorney/Lawyer with Civil Litigation or Insurance Defense experience to join our vibrant team, based in Miami, Florida. As an Attorney/Lawyer, your primary focus will be to handle assigned legal cases, develop and manage document files, and diligently follow up on all case-related activities. You'll also be expected to provide timely responses to correspondence and calls and make efficient use of case management software while adhering to the established guidelines and legal requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Handle assigned legal cases with utmost professionalism and efficiency.

• Develop, organize, and maintain document files consisting of pleadings, briefs, and memorandums.

• Use case management software for maintaining notes, diary, calendar, billing, etc., on assigned cases.

• Provide timely status reports to claims handlers on all significant activities.

• Ensure proper documentation and organization of all files.

• Respond promptly and appropriately to all telephone calls and correspondence.

• Draft legal documents, correspondence, motions, pleadings, and other essentials.

• Conduct legal research and writing as required for case preparation.

• Handle insurance defense litigation as necessary.

• Attend trials and prepare for them diligently.

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years experience as an Attorney/Lawyer, licensed in Florida and in good standing.

• Proficiency in using Case Management Software for efficient handling of cases.

• Demonstrable skills in Document Management, ensuring all essential legal documents are properly managed and stored.

• Proven ability in Briefing, presenting complex information succinctly to clients and peers.

• Experience in Complaint Handling, addressing client grievances professionally and effectively.

• Knowledge of Insurance Defense, protecting client interests in insurance-related disputes.

• Expertise in Insurance Defense Litigation, representing clients in court for insurance-related matters.

• Strong Legal Research skills, capable of conducting thorough research to support legal proceedings.

• Excellent Legal Writing abilities, crafting clear and persuasive legal documents.

• Ability to Draft Legal Documents, including contracts, agreements, and other essential legal paperwork.

• Experience in Drafting Correspondence, communicating professionally with clients, peers, and court officials.

• Proficiency in Drafting Motions, creating legal documents to request procedural or judicial action.

• Experience in Drafting Pleadings, preparing formal written statements for court cases.

• Ability to Draft Documents, producing various types of legal documents as per the case requirements.

• Proficiency in Calendaring, managing critical dates and deadlines.

• Experience with Prolaw - Time & Billing, using the software for accurate time tracking and billing.

• Prior Trial Experience, representing clients in court efficiently and effectively.

• Experience in Trial Preparation, preparing cases thoroughly for trial.
