Description We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial strategy, operations, and performance of our organization in Yorktown, Virginia. This role is crucial in driving financial integrity, optimizing resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of accounting, finance, and business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic management of the organization's accounting and finance functions to ensure alignment with business goals.

• Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.

• Analyze financial data and recommend improvements to safeguard the integrity of the company’s financial information.

• Manage relationships with independent auditors, ensuring thorough and efficient audits.

• Collaborate with technology leaders to make informed decisions on financial systems and tools.

• Oversee the implementation and upgrades of financial systems to improve operational efficiency.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors and financial institutions.

• Assess and mitigate business risks while managing the company’s insurance requirements.

• Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing accounting and finance team. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and financial tools.

• Strong understanding of business systems, including CRM platforms.

• Expertise in core accounting functions and auditing processes.

• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, capital management, and cash flow analysis.

• Familiarity with government contracts and pricing proposals.

• Proven ability to manage business banking relationships effectively.

• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide cross-functional teams.
