    As the CFO, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial oversight and ensuring the organization’s financial vitality.     Key Responsibilities

    + Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies to drive business growth, efficiency, and profitability.

    + Financial Reporting: Oversee accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    + Operational Oversight: Manage accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes to maintain financial health and sustainability.

    + Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

    + Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a strong accounting and finance team. Collaborate with other executives to align financial goals with broader organizational objectives.

    + Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve financial systems, policies, and procedures.

    + Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key liaison to stakeholders, including the executive team, board of directors, and external partners.

    + Strategic Advisory: Provide insight and guidance on financial planning related to mergers, acquisitions, or major investments that enhance the company’s position in the marketplace.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will bring extensive financial expertise and leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of the construction industry. Key qualifications include:

     

    + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution. CPA, MBA, or similar advanced degree preferred.

    + Experience: At least 15 years of experience in finance or accounting, with prior CFO leadership experience. Construction industry expertise strongly preferred.

    + Technical Skills:

    + Knowledge of financial systems and tools—including construction-specific accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar platforms).

    + Strong understanding of job cost accounting, project budgets, and contract profitability in a construction environment.

    + Leadership Abilities:

    + A strategic mindset with the ability to manage financial operations while influencing long-term business decisions.

    + Proven ability to lead and develop teams within a collaborative, growth-oriented culture.

    + Excellent communication skills to interface with internal teams, external stakeholders, and partners.
