Description
Robert Half HR Solutions is currently partnering with a client in the Metro Atlanta area that is looking to add a highly experienced and results-driven Sr Regional EHS Manager to oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across multiple manufacturing facilities in the Southeast. This leadership role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that ensure regulatory compliance and foster a culture of safety excellence. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience as an EHS professional in the manufacturing industry, possess a proven track record of influencing safety performance, and demonstrate strong expertise in multi-site safety program management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Development and Implementation
+ Design, develop, and execute comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to align with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and company policies.
+ Drive standardization of EHS processes and procedures across all locations to ensure consistency and compliance.
+ Stay up to date on pertinent regulations and industry trends, recommending proactive measures to maintain compliance.
2. Multi-Site Oversight
+ Provide ongoing EHS support and leadership to multiple manufacturing facilities in the Southeast region.
+ Conduct regular site audits, safety inspections, and reviews to assess program effectiveness and risk exposure.
+ Work closely with plant leadership teams to develop customized action plans for addressing site-specific safety and environmental concerns.
3. Training and Culture Building
+ Lead the development and delivery of training programs to educate employees and leadership on EHS standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
+ Champion a "safety-first" culture by proactively engaging employees at all levels to foster accountability and awareness.
4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
+ Track, analyze, and report key safety and environmental performance metrics, including incident rates, near-misses, audits, and compliance updates.
+ Develop and implement strategic plans to reduce workplace incidents, enhance overall safety performance, and continuously improve EHS outcomes.
5. Team Collaboration
+ Act as the key liaison between corporate EHS leadership and site-level teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals.
+ Mentor and guide in-plant EHS staff to drive skill development, succession planning, and professional growth
Requirements
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is required.
+ Master’s degree in EHS, Environmental Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
+ Minimum of 10+ years of EHS experience in the manufacturing industry, with progressive responsibility.
+ Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
+ CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
+ CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist)
+ CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)
Skills:
+ Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable EHS regulatory frameworks.
+ Exceptional leadership abilities with experience influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
+ Ability to travel regionally on a consistent basis (estimated 30 travel).
