    Job Title: Patient Services Coordinator (Ambulatory Service Rep II – Temp)

     

    Job Type: Temporary | Pay: $17.55/hour

     

    Are you passionate about healthcare and customer service? We are seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to join a fast-paced clinical team. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient support at the front desk.

     

    This Patient Services Coordinator position is ideal for those with strong communication skills and a background in patient-facing roles.

    Responsibilities:

    + Greet patients and visitors with a positive, professional attitude

    + Manage patient check-in/check-out, including registration and cashiering

    + Verify and update patient insurance and demographic information

    + Handle incoming phone calls and assist with appointment scheduling

    + Maintain accurate records using EMR systems such as Epic

    + Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations

    + Uphold HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

    + Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

    + Minimum 1 year of direct, face-to-face customer service experience

    + Minimum 1 year of cash handling or collections experience

    + At least 6 months in a customer-facing role in a medical office, healthcare setting, or service-related industry

    + Proficiency with Windows-based software (Word, Excel)

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information

    •Desired Qualifications:

    + Knowledge of insurance plans including HMO, PPO, EPO, and Medicare Advantage

    + Experience with EMR systems, particularly Epic

    + Bilingual – English/Spanish
