Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations and reporting processes of our organization in Mentor, Ohio. This role is integral to maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable financial insights to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in general accounting, budgeting, and fund management, along with a strong ability to collaborate with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, delivering precise financial reports and statements.

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to internal and external audiences.

• Reconcile accounts, including bank accounts, investment accounts, and other balance sheet items.

• Collaborate with external professionals such as auditors, bankers, and government representatives to support financial operations.

• Assist in developing and monitoring the annual budget, providing budget-to-actual analyses and insights.

• Offer financial guidance to program managers to enhance decision-making and resource allocation.

• Manage grant and fund accounting processes, ensuring proper tracking and reporting.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online to maintain financial records and streamline processes.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards in financial reporting and accounting. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fund and grant accounting.

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and general ledger management.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.

• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with auditors, bankers, and government representatives.

• Knowledge of accounting practices and regulations specific to non-profit organizations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
