    Duties & Responsibilities

     

    + Oversee and participate in day-to-day accounting functions, such as payroll, PTO, accounts payable and receivable, and bank statement reconciliation

    + Coach/mentor accounting clerk(s)

    + Summarize current financial status by preparing and presenting information for balance sheets, profit and loss statements, monthly financials and other reports (Daily Cash Report, etc.)

    + Create and maintain the budget

    + Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information

    + Create plans of action for improved financial well-being, which lead to cost reduction, enhanced revenue and improved profits

    + Forecast

    + Research, interpret and apply up-to-date accounting methods, policy and regulations

    + Maintain company data and procedural confidentiality

    + Work closely with a CPA firm to ensure federal, state and local financial legal compliance

    + Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents and filing backups

    + Work with other departments to create procedures and workflows that promote efficiency and productivity
