We’re looking for a Senior AI Advisor to help our clients transform their businesses through AI by establishing the right policies, governance structures, and use case prioritization. The ideal candidate will craft tailored AI strategies for clients, develop a common governance framework that can be applied across Jacobs’ client portfolio, and collaborate closely with our AI development teams. In this role, you will help design and implement oversight frameworks, align internal practices with evolving regulatory requirements, and ensure AI applications reflect Jacobs’ commitments to safety, sustainability, equity, and integrity. You will also support internal AI initiatives by guiding cross-functional teams and shaping responsible internal AI solutions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, matrixed environment and is passionate about advancing the future of responsible AI within the AEC industry.
The chosen candidate will become a member of the Digital & Data team at Jacobs, helping drive innovation in technical project work for our clients in collaboration with subject matter experts, technologists, engineers, data scientists, project managers, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and grow our AI Advisory practice.
* Advise clients on responsible AI adoption strategies, including use case prioritization, risk assessment, and policy development.
* Lead the creation of standardized, scalable governance models that can be applied across Jacobs’ diverse client portfolio.
* Identify client use cases/needs and partner with Jacobs AI developers to build prototypes that scale.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on AI governance in client engagements, industry forums, and internal training sessions.
* Lead and support internal AI use cases and tools
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in a strategic, policy, or governance-focused role related to emerging technologies, ideally including AI.
* Demonstrated experience developing or implementing AI or data governance frameworks in a complex, regulated, or multi-stakeholder environment.
* Strong understanding of AI ethics, regulatory trends, risk management, and responsible AI principles (e.g., fairness, transparency, accountability).
* Prior experience in the AEC industry.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and lifecycles, even if not hands-on technical—ability to translate technical concepts into business or policy implications.
Preferred:
* Experience with Palantir Foundry and AIP. Experience with Azure AI Foundry.
* Experience with RAG, Prompt Engineering and LLM tuning techniques
* Experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and/or Data Science
* Experience with enterprise software deployments
* Experience with change management or digital transformation initiatives involving AI adoption.
* Familiarity with procurement and compliance processes in government or large enterprise environments.
Location:
* Remote-United States
* Anticipate occasional travel for team meetings and client meetings, mainly in North America.
