    *_Position Summary:_*

     

    The telemetry technician is responsible for the telemetry observation and reading the electrical activity on the heart monitor screen and to ensure no change goes unnoticed.

     

    *_Training and Continued Education_*

     

    Opportunities for further education and training are available to our employees.

     

    *_Minimum Education_*

    * Licensed Practical Nurse or Paramedic training/experience or CNA (with telemetry training preferred), or EMT Basic/Intermediate.

    * Demonstrated experience / education in telemetry interpretation preferred.

    * Certificate course covering the anatomy and physiology of the heart, recognition of normal and abnormal heart rhythms, infection control procedures and technical skills preferred.

    *_Required Licenses_*

    * CNA, LPN, or Paramedic

    * BLS required within 30 days of hire.

    * ACLS preferred.

    * PALS preferred.

    * Advanced Stroke Course preferred.*__*
