Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The FM Tech Mechanical Trades performs under the direction of the Maintenance

Operations HVAC Supervisor.

Duties include but are not limited to:

+ Responsible for performing routine maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently,

and/or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.

+ Gain knowledge with electrical test devices to troubleshoot and repair HVAC electrical circuits.

+ Assist in diagnosing mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.

+ Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches and electrical testing devices.

+ E.P.A. 608 Refrigerant certification preferred.

Minimum Experience / Education:

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

+ High school diploma or GED equivalency.

+ Associates degree from an accredited institution in the HVAC field

+ Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

+ Effective skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.

+ Computer literate.

+ Knowledge and skill with Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, and Excel, and willingness to learn new programs.

+ Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork.
