    Sixth Grade Teacher (English) Koda Middle School 1.0 FTE Probationary Position

    Certifications/Qualifications

    + Valid NYS Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) & Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)

    + Strong pedagogical skills in English Language Arts, focusing on meeting the needs of early middle school learners.

    + Experience teaching English Language Arts, preferably with 6th grade students.

    + Strong classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.

    + Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans to develop writing skills.

    + Foster an engaging and supportive classroom environment encouraging student participation and a love of writing.

    + Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of 6th graders.

    + Utilize various instructional strategies and technology to enhance English Language Arts learning.

    + Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success.

    + Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
