Position Summary:
The Automation Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Technician works on a cross-functional team to provide high level equipment support to the consumable Manufacturing areas on Automation lines used in production. Partners with internal teams; Production, Manufacturing Support, Manufacturing Engineering, and Automation Manufacturing Engineering, to troubleshoot and solve equipment issues. Leverages experience and skillset to implement best practices within the realm of equipment automation by identifying root causes and implementing solutions to minimize equipment downtime. Contributes to the resolution of complex manufacturing engineering problems, with emphasis on automated equipment.SHIFT SCHEDULE: Friday thru Sunday: 6:00pm to 6:30am (3 X 12 hour) 6p-6:30a
Primary Duties:
+ Supports automated consumable product/reagent manufacturing processes.
+ Performs extensive troubleshooting and maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment, including support of complex repairs, when needed.
+ Able to build routines and gather data for equipment troubleshooting/issue investigations, as directed by Automation Manufacturing Engineers.
+ Troubleshoots existing MES software and Automation PLC packages to support maintenance and Engineering teams in production line support.
+ Utilize prior experience and automation related knowledge to identify potential equipment/process improvements.
+ Supports in identifying root causes of problems and presents possible solutions.
+ Must possess well-developed interpersonal skills, a willingness to work collaboratively and take direction from other team members.
+ Works alongside and trains under Automation Manufacturing Engineers on both technical skills and BioMerieux best practices.
+ Critical thinking and ability to pay close attention to details.
+ Support in development and execution of validation of equipment and processes consistent with FDA standards.
+ Act as a representative of Automation Manufacturing Engineering with emphasis on sustainment in new automation/equipment development efforts.
+ Provide on call support, as assigned, to all reagent manufacturing areas.
+ Perform all work in compliance with FDA regulations, company policy and within the guidelines of BioMerieux Quality System.
+ Performs Primary Duties in a clean room environment.

Training and Education:
Associate’s Degree – Work Experience in lieu of degree, 10+ years
Experience:
Experience in FDA regulated industry preferred.
