Lead Java Full Stack Developer (Core Java)

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Java Full Stack Developer (Core Java) with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Our developers are agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we’re doing wrong, so we can fix it, so we can improve on it. Above all, we judge success by the success of our team and the happiness of our customers.

Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Responsibilities and qualifications:

+ 8+ years of Core Java development experience, familiar with Java 7 or higher.

+ Able to deliver end to end project.

+ Experience with java development and aware of java patterns, Spring Boot and Microservices uses for development.

+ Project Development and functionalities using Java and J2EE.

+ Must Angular experience.

+ AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, AWS Cloud watch etc.) and AWS deployed application.

+ Agile/scrum development experience.

+ Teamwork and communication skills.

+ Ready to learn new technologies and perform POC on it.

+ Ability to diagnose product issues and defects.

+ Knowledgeable in System Design – Performance Engineering, Vertical/Horizontal Scaling, Application Security, and other Non-Functional aspects

+ Relational database with schema design.

+ Experience in NodeJS, Angular, HTML, CSS to design/develop rich and responsive user interfaces.

Travel: 0-5%

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
