    Participates as a member of a team that handles inquiries from users for financial transactions. Performs a variety of intermediate user-problem analyses for the help desk. Assesses the customers’ issue, performs initial triage, documents the problem, creates an incident and ensures the customer contract information is accurate and complete.

     

    + Ensures the timely processing of all payments and financial transactions, including payment, adjustments, returned checks, overpayments, etc., on the automated financial system.

    + Prepares routine and ad hoc reports.

    + Analyzes financial reports, cost data, operating and project reports, etc.

    + Ensures the monitoring and maintenance of the database used in the processing of ACH (automated Clearing House) payments.

    + Handles interfaces with various government accounting systems.

    + Confirms procedures and guidelines are followed, all required spreadsheets and reports are accurately completed in a timely manner, and deposit activities are correctly conducted.

    + Assists with yearly audits (both financial and A-123 confirmation audits).

    + Handles complex transactions conducted for disbursements that affects the outcome of payments to payees.

    + Overall QA responsibility for the overall process.

    + Answers inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing information.

    + Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems.

    + Fulfills requests by clarifying desired information; completing transactions; forwarding requests.

    + Maintains call center database by entering information and document customer interaction.

    + Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and knowledge management.

    + Develops appropriate reporting requirements by supervisor or manager.

    + Handles Subject Matter Expert inquiries and assist other team members.

    + Assists in the training of new-hires and assist in quality assurance activities.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + HS Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred or two (2) years’ experience working in a similar environment is required

    + 2+ years’ experience working in a similar environment is required.

    Other Job Specific Skills

    + Experience with audit support and management.

    + Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills.

    + Must be confident in ability to control phone conversations and guide customers.

    + Intermediate proficiency in Finance Processing.

    + Strong presentation, telephone and writing skills.

    + Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

    + Intermediate proficiency in Cash Application Processing.

    + Excellent ability to multi-task.

    + Must be flexible and dependable.

    + Strong active listener, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times, preferred.

     

    Compensation Ranges

     

    Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM's overall compensation and benefits package for employees.
