    *This position is a Full-Time, 12-hour Day Shift, with a rotating work schedule that includes weekends. Shifts are generally from 7am-7:30pm but may change based on need. *

    As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech), you will support emergency department or urgent care by performing basic emergency medical procedures as directed.

     

    *What you'll do: *

    • Under supervision, assists nurses and physicians in the performance of their functions.

    • You will perform assessment of vital signs, thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressings and splints, stool and urine collection.

    • You will also prepare patients for examinations/treatments including draping patients, opening sterile supplies, set up and removal of IV’s.

    • Assists in collection of patient history and ensures confidentiality of records, as well as, clean and prepare rooms between procedures including changing of bed linens and restocking of room supplies.

     

    You may transport patients and/or provide coverage for the unit secretary.

     

    *Required Qualifications:*

    * American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers

    * California state issued EMT (EMT, AEMT or Paramedic) or CNA

    *Preferred Qualifications:*

    * One year of experience in a healthcare setting
