Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the HR department's initiatives and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions. This position is responsible for managing employee records, assisting in recruitment processes, and facilitating onboarding procedures for new hires. The coordinator will also be involved in employee engagement activities and maintaining compliance with labor laws and regulations. By fostering a positive workplace culture and addressing employee inquiries, the HR Coordinator contributes to overall employee satisfaction and retention. Ultimately, this role is essential in aligning HR strategies with organizational goals and enhancing the employee experience.
Responsibilities
+ Facilitate onboarding processes, ensuring a consistent experience for employees regardless of geographical location or department.
+ Coordinate onboarding activities including drug testing, background checks, and new hire orientation; work with leadership and other departments to ensure all activities are performed timely and accurately.
+ Coordinate New Hire Orientations for all new employees.
+ Assist and/or conduct surveys to monitor the effectiveness of the onboarding process to support retention.
+ Assist in the full-cycle recruiting process including creating position descriptions, posting roles, searching for passive candidates, conducting screening interviews, and setting up interviews.
+ Initiate processes for position changes and promotions and update management and candidates appropriately.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System).
+ Ensure compliance with legal and company standards by organizing and storing employee documentation.
+ Assist in preparing HR-related reports and presentations.
+ Assist with revision, distribution, acknowledgement, and tracking of company policies.
+ Complete verifications of employment and income.
+ Manage labor law poster compliance.
+ Assist with management of job descriptions and HR documents.
+ Assist with employee engagement initiatives and events.
+ Facilitate offboarding processes, ensuring a consistent experience for employees regardless of geographical location or department.
+ Send proper documentation and conduct exit interviews, including State Unemployment Notices and termination letters.
+ Assist with leave of absence requests and workers compensation claim process by coordinating with external vendors or submitting claims to adjusters.
+ Contribute to quarterly reporting on key HR operational KPIs.
+ Monitor Incentco system to ensure system is set up appropriately.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 1-3 years of human resource operations experience and/or specialized training in employment law, recruiting, or employee relations preferred.
+ Previous experience working with hourly employees required.
+ Experience with HRIS systems, preferably ADP.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel experience a plus.
+ High level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Must be a team player and display willingness to handle any task that arises.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree required; specific, relevant HR experience/certification considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Property Management industry experience a plus.
+ Experience with Adobe Pro a plus.
+ PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Work Environment
The position will be a hybrid remote role with flexibility, ideally working on Monday and Wednesday. You will collaborate with the current Sr. Recruiter, supporting onboarding and recruiting efforts for more entry-level roles. The role offers growth potential into a more involved HR position, situated in a great area of Tampa. The work environment is supportive and conducive to professional development.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
