THE POSITION

As a **Chemical Plant Operations Manager** here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our chemical manufacturing facility in Metropolis, IL. You are responsible for ensuring that the production of chemical products is safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory standards. Your duties involve supervising production processes, leading a team of operators and technicians, and implementing rigorous safety protocols and environmental regulations. Your expertise comes into play as you optimize plant operations, reduce downtime, control production costs, and ensure the quality of our chemical products.

You will report directly to our Director of Chemical Plant Operations and you’ll work out of our Metropolis, IL location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and success of our chemical manufacturing facility by optimizing production processes, reducing downtime, controlling costs, and upholding safety and environmental standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Manage and oversee all aspects of the chemical plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety

+ Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance, improve efficiency, and reduce costs

+ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and procedures

YOU MUST HAVE

+ Strong knowledge of process safety, environmental regulations, and quality management systems

+ Excellent leadership and communication skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field

+ Proven experience of 6+ years in managing chemical plant operations
