    As a **Sr Advanced Project Engineer** here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving innovation, shaping the company's technical strategy, and mentoring future leaders.     You will report directly to our **Sr Engineering Manager,** and you’ll work out of our **Aguadilla, Puerto Rico** location. New employees are required to work on-site full-time for their first 90 days after which they may transition to a hybrid schedule.

     

    In this role, you will impact the development and execution of advanced projects within the Aerospace sector, ensuring that innovative solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively to meet customer needs.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership in project execution and management

    + Support Phoenix program managers on program management activities as needed

    + Monitor earned-value metrics and lead program/project baseline activities

    + Work with buyers to place POs, supplier engagement, hardware tracking & shipment, and payment to vendors

    + Work with contracts on establishing new programs, contract modifications, including SAP updates

    + Ensure that material spend and labor forecasting in SAP are accurate

    + Coordinate with Document & Data Management Services with on monthly reports and program close-out

    + Support driving innovation and identifying emerging trends and technologies within the aerospace sector

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to solve complex engineering challenges

     

    Travel within US and/ or internationally may be required - 10%

    YOU MUST HAVE:

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics

    + 5+ years of experience in project engineering within the aerospace industry

    + 5+ years of experience with project management methodologies and tools

    + Ability to write, read and speak English

    + Advanced degree in Engineering or related field

    + Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to aerospace projects

    + Experience in leading complex aerospace projects and teams

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Program management skills and demonstrated experience in coordinating and overseeing successful projects

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Working knowledge of SAP

    + Experience with aerospace hardware procurement/fabrication

    + Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
