    Position OverviewThe UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital Administrative Assistant for Quality Management supports the Quality Department by managing administrative functions and providing organizational support to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of quality improvement programs. The role involves maintaining records, preparing reports, coordinating meetings, and assisting in the development and implementation of quality initiatives in the hospital setting. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, rural healthcare setting. Position assists in providing a commitment to improving healthcare quality in a rural hospital environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Administrative support, maintaining various documentation and reporting,

    assist in the collection, analysis, and preparation of quality data, including tracking performance metrics. Support the preparation of documents for internal and external audits, reviews, and assessments. Assist in the implementation and tracking of quality improvement projects and initiatives across various departments. Help in coordinating staff training sessions and workshops related to quality management. Ensure that hospital policies and procedures are updated in accordance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS). Support compliance audits and prepare necessary documentation for surveys and inspections. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding quality management inquiries. Assist in the communication and dissemination of quality initiatives to staff, patients, and the community.

    Skills:

    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills

     

    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office software

     

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, rural healthcare setting

    Education/Experience

    Minimum Required:

    + High School diploma with two (2) years of experience in secretarial support position or related field.

    Preferred:

    + Associates Degree in Secretarial Science or Office Administration.
