Job Title: Internal Auditor 1
Job Description
As an Internal Auditor 1, you will perform Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) testing to assist management in ensuring an appropriate control environment exists. This role supports the achievement of organizational objectives related to the reliability of financial reporting and assists the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors in carrying out their oversight function.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct internal audit testing similar to SOX testing.
+ Understand and evaluate internal controls.
+ Review testing and analyze supporting documentation to ensure it matches the final product.
+ Navigate the system using prior year testing and current test plans.
+ Assist with various projects requiring temporary support to complete testing.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of experience in SOX testing (does not need to be recent experience)
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Ability to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree preferred.
+ Experience in public accounting is preferred.
+ Financial services, insurance, healthcare, or benefits is advantageous.
Work Environment
This role is 100% remote, with core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM PST. The position is a 4-6 month contract with a possibility for extension or conversion. The company provides financial products and services such as disability insurance, dental insurance, and retirement plans. It is a private company with headquarters in Portland, over 1,000 employees, and $350 million in revenue. You will be part of a team of five Internal Auditor 1s, all working remotely. There are group huddles on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
