Production Planner

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to optimize production planning, lead strategic initiatives, and partner across the organization to delight our customers.
At the core of the Production Planner role is driving end-to-end planning excellence through the strategic implementation of advanced supply chain planning technology and optimized workflows. This leader serves as a subject matter expert, guiding the technical transition from legacy systems to a modern, integrated planning platform. They will oversee the execution of critical planning processes, including finite production scheduling, material requirements planning, capacity planning, and inventory optimization. The Production Planner partners cross-functionally to streamline planning processes, eliminate manual tasks, and enhance planning capabilities to improve customer service, reduce costs, and optimize working capital. They will leverage data, analytics, and automation to generate more realistic and achievable plans that align with the company's strategic objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain the finite production schedule and material requirements plan based on forecasted demand, inventory levels, and production capacity
* Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to ensure supply plans are feasible and executable
* Manage inventory levels and replenishment strategies to optimize working capital while maintaining target service levels
* Participate in the S&OP process to align supply plans with demand forecasts and business objectives
* Identify and resolve supply-demand gaps through scenario planning and adjustments to supply parameters
* Communicate supply-related risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to key stakeholders
* Leverage planning systems, data, and analytics to generate optimized supply plans
* Monitor supply plan performance against KPIs such as schedule adherence, inventory turns, and supplier delivery
* Identify opportunities to improve supply planning processes, tools, and data quality
* Work cross-functionally to drive alignment between various teams and communicate changes
* Participate in new product introduction projects to incorporate supply planning requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
* 1+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or a related field
* Deep understanding of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes
* Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions
* Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
* Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
* Proficient in supply chain management tools and technologies
* Proficient in SQL and data visualization to drive key insights (Tableau, Power BI)
* Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certified Kinaxis Author or Advanced User certification
* Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization
* APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
* Knowledge of emerging technologies in the supply chain and logistics space (e.g. IoT, machine learning)
* Master's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.00/hr.
