    Job Title: CAD AdministratorJob Description

     

    The Project Administrator will be responsible for supporting multiple project managers with oversight of approximately 10-15 projects at any given time. The successful candidate will work across the service territory to provide administrative support to Project Managers and Planners, assisting as needed in planning meetings, accounts payable, project tracking, client communications, data entry, and reporting workload assessments. The role involves supporting the pre-construction/construction planning processes by crafting and supervising action items and ensuring project team member adherence. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary project teams, often consisting of 30 or more members, will be crucial. The administrator will assist with all project-related tasks, such as preparing progress reports, tracking achievements, schedules, and budgets, establishing and applying project procedures, directives, and bulletins to ensure compliance with client policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves planning and coordinating multiple projects, supervising and reporting project statuses, and coordinating activities and schedules for timely delivery. Crafting and maintaining project documentation, including version control, distribution, document storage/retention in sophisticated document libraries, and access control, is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Support multiple project managers with oversight of 10-15 projects.

    + Provide administrative assistance to Project Managers and Planners.

    + Assist in planning meetings, accounts payable, project tracking, and client communications.

    + Support data entry and reporting workload assessments.

    + Craft and supervise action items and ensure adherence during planning processes.

    + Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams.

    + Assist with project-related tasks such as progress reports and tracking of achievements.

    + Establish and apply project procedures, directives, and bulletins.

    + Plan and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery.

    + Craft and maintain project documentation, including version control and distribution.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD, design, drafting, and administrative tasks.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.

    + Working knowledge of power distribution engineering software tools.

    + Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans and models.

    + Familiarity with local regulations and guidelines.

    + Experience in writing and providing support documentation for engineering calculations.

    + Familiarity with design codes and standards.

    + Experience with drafting, design practices, and related engineering practices.

    + Ability to review rough sketches, drawing specifications, and create conceptual drawings in CAD software.

    + Experience in finalizing engineering product drawings with critical dimensions and specifications.

    + Conduct quality reviews on designs and provide recommendations.

    + Effective resource and project planning skills.

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    + Detail-oriented.

    + General computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with design codes and standards such as WAC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IBC, GO 95/128.

    + Familiarity with construction and constructability practices, principles, and standards.

    + Demonstrated experience with quality review on designs.

    Work Environment

    This role is based in-office in Cary. The work environment involves collaboration with a large team and the use of various engineering and design software tools.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
