We specialize in building manufacturing facilities for pharmaceutical, bio-tech, and animal health clients. As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead construction projects throughout the Southeast, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a strong construction background , a commitment to safety and quality, and a focus on client engagement. You will work closely with the Project Director and Senior Project Manager to guide engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams in achieving project goals.
Responsibilities
+ Develop a comprehensive understanding of prime contract requirements and apply this knowledge to project activities.
+ Support the Project Manager in creating and maintaining preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans.
+ Facilitate communication among project participants in collaboration with the Project Manager.
+ Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other necessary documents.
+ Coordinate procurement and management of all required project resources, including internal and external resources.
+ Gather scheduling information from subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals.
+ Develop and monitor the project budget, identifying potential exposures throughout the project's execution.
+ Assist in managing change control systems and policies.
+ Ensure quality assurance for the project by understanding and supporting contractually required quality in design and construction.
+ Monitor design content and coordinate revisions for constructability and compliance with basic documents, schedules, and budgets.
+ Review all shop drawings and submittals.
+ Ensure project documents are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet project and corporate requirements.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in construction, construction management, and project management.
+ Experience with RFIs, change orders, and project coordination.
+ Proficiency in design, electrical, mechanical, engineering, and project engineering.
+ 15+ years of experience in project delivery or related roles managing construction for multi-million-dollar projects.
+ OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it.
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
+ Proven experience in the construction of pharmaceutical, bio-tech, and life science facilities.
+ Strong communication skills with teams and clients.
+ Ability to build effective teams and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Work Environment
The position is based on-site at Novo Nordisk in Clayton. You will be part of a caring and agile team that delivers world-class designs for pharmaceutical clients. The environment encourages collaboration and provides opportunities for career growth.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
