Job Title: Embedded Software EngineerJob Description

The primary role of an Embedded Software Engineer is to apply computer science and mathematical principles to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of embedded software and systems. These systems are crucial to the functionality of computers across various applications, including medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing. The engineer will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and testing operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.

Responsibilities

+ Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.

+ Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and manage identifiers of databases within the management system.

+ Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.

+ Review project requests to estimate the time and cost required to fulfill database user needs.

Essential Skills

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong problem-solving abilities.

+ Effective customer service and interpersonal skills.

+ Proficiency in reading schematics and data sheets for components.

+ Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including business/systems analysis, requirements gathering, functional specification authoring, development, testing, and delivery.

+ Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes to resolve them.

+ Solid programming experience in C, SQL, VisualBasic, or other computer development software relevant to embedded systems.

+ Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

+ 2-4 years of experience in embedded software development.

+ Experience with HIL bench testing and dSPACE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
