    Job Description

    We are seeking a new or recent grads who are seeking an opportunity to work in a medical laboratory who will play an integral role in our pathology lab. This position provides a unique opportunity for individuals to gain the necessary hours and experience to qualify for the HT or ASCP Exam within a year of employment!

    Responsibilities

    + Accessioning specimens and ensuring proper documentation.

    + Preparing slide trays and filing blocks and slides systematically.

    + Assisting with the organization and maintenance of the lab.

    + Preparing solutions and recycling chemicals responsibly.

    + Performing tissue embedding after receiving appropriate training.

    + Assisting with H&E slide preparation to support laboratory processes.

    + Cleaning lab equipment and tools to maintain hygiene standards.

    + Stocking lab supplies and performing regular inventory checks.

    + Adhering to compliance standards and completing required training.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Biology and Chemistry related tasks.

    + Experience in medical laboratory settings.

    + Familiarity with laboratory processes and compliance.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Sciences such as Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Laboratory Science, or Environmental Science.

    + Previous lab experience is preferred.

    + Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.

    + Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm is preferred.

    + Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a pathology lab, offering a structured environment for professional growth. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with potential rotations that may include weekends depending on business needs. The role provides the opportunity to advance within the position based on performance reviews, with potential progression to Tech III, Team Lead, and further leadership roles.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.25/hr.
