    Summary: Inspect incoming parts and materials for compliance and report non-conformities for proper follow up in order to meet the needs of our customers and industry standards.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following:

    + Perform inspection and ID of parts and materials using standard inspection equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Optical Comparator, thread gages and dial indicators.

    + Review prints for accuracy according to standards

    + Check non-conforming parts for compliance & submit findings to Quality Manager

    + Communicate with other departments through email, telephone and face to face interaction

    + Follow established priorities for the flow of merchandise through the inspection process

    + Review various material and process certifications for adherence to customer and internal purchase order requirements

    + Maintenance of calibration equipment at all Tower locations

    + Maintenance of customer prints, drawings, & certifications

    Education Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one year related basic quality inspection experience.

    Other Skills and Abilities:

    Ability to read Basic Blueprints

     

    Knowledge of ISO requirements

     

    Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.

     

    Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

     

    Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

     

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be PC literate with a good working knowledge of Windows.

    Compensation starting at $16-21 per hour dependent on candidate location and experience.

     

    The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
