Manufacturing Equipment Engineer | Clinton, TN
Job Description
This role is pivotal in overseeing the installation and troubleshooting of new equipment, ensuring the efficiency of the entire manufacturing process. The candidate must possess strong mechanical skills and a keen ability to troubleshoot equipment from a mechanical perspective. Responsibilities will include overseeing quotes, justification, and equipment specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Design and improve manufacturing floor processes through observation and suggestion of improvements related to safety, quality, delivery, or cost.
+ Utilize AutoCAD for 2D equipment layout and SolidWorks for 3D reverse engineering of existing parts, as well as designing new assemblies for fabrication.
+ Facilitate communication between different levels of the organization, from the manufacturing floor to management and external vendors.
+ Lead capital projects from initiation to completion, including cost justification, vendor management, and communication with operations.
+ Collaborate with the Maintenance team to identify items with a short Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), investigate issues, and propose improvement suggestions.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in manufacturing engineering and equipment installation.
+ Expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for equipment design and layout.
+ Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and process improvement abilities.
+ Experience in project management and CAD process engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Experience with predictive maintenance strategies.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
