    Job Title: Lab Analyst

    Job Description

    The Lab Analyst will play a crucial role in the laboratory by executing duties according to approved methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role involves performing weekly tasks, completing training assignments to adhere to JDF and ISO/IEC requirements, assisting in the ordering and tracking of laboratory supplies, maintaining an effective training verification program, and participating in internal audits. Additionally, the Lab Analyst will engage in cross-training across all laboratory positions to ensure coverage.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform laboratory duties following approved methods and SOPs.

    + Conduct weekly tasks and complete training assignments to meet JDF and ISO/IEC requirements.

    + Assist with ordering and tracking laboratory supplies.

    + Maintain an effective training verification program.

    + Participate in internal audits.

    + Cross-train in all laboratory positions to provide coverage.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related field

    + 2+ years of experience in a food laboratory

    Work Environment

    The role operates within a laboratory and office environment. The position requires working the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, with standard 1st shift hours. Additionally, there is an on-call requirement for weekends, with mandatory work one weekend a month, covering both Saturday and Sunday rotations. An additional compensation of $25 is provided for each weekend day worked.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
