We are seeking an outstanding Manufacturing Engineer with superb technical and analytical capabilities, along with a demonstrated ability to execute tasks quickly and effectively. This role involves developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and performing related analysis specifically for flight-critical avionics systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, suited for both prototype and production-level designs.
Responsibilities
+ Develop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.
+ Conduct analysis related to mechanical designs.
+ Create work instructions and technical writing, including standard operating procedures and test plans.
+ Integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.
+ Support both Development and Production programs.
+ Implement process improvement and lean manufacturing techniques.
+ Handle and track systems for continuous material flow to manufacturing lines.
Essential Skills
+ 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
+ 1+ year of experience with integrating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.
+ 1+ year of experience with CAD tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
+ Experience with automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and test methods.
+ Familiarity with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibe.
+ Formal training/certification in Operational Excellence Systems such as Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma.
+ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Work Environment
This position is based onsite in Redmond, where you'll have the opportunity to contribute to building a satellite constellation. The role involves working with advanced manufacturing processes and technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66.70 - $66.70/hr.
