Interior Designer

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Entry-Level/Junior Interior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will support the design and development of interior spaces forK-12 schools and higher education facilities. You’ll work closely with senior designers, architects, and project managers to bring educational environments to life.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist in the development of interior design concepts for school projects.
+ Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and material/sample boards.
+ Create and modify drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
+ Select and specify furniture, finishes, and materials appropriate for educational settings.
+ Conduct research on design trends, materials, and educational space planning.
+ Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is maintained through construction.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (or expected graduation within 6 months).
+ Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
+ Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
+ Passion for educational design and creating environments that support learning.
+ Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Familiarity with ADA, building codes, and sustainable design principles is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
+ Internship or academic experience in educational or institutional design.
+ Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) for school environments.
+ Interest in community engagement and user-centered design.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $38.46/hr.
