Facilities Technician
Job Description
The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and periodic inspections across multiple properties. This role involves travel to different job sites to ensure all properties are well-maintained, safe, and operational. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong general repair skills, and can work independently.
Responsibilities
+ Perform scheduled maintenance on plumbing and other facility systems.
+ Address hazards such as tripping hazards and leaks promptly.
+ Clean roof drains regularly to prevent blockages and water damage.
+ Ensure carpentry and cosmetic building items are addressed promptly.
+ Inspect and diagnose property for signs of wear, damage, or safety concerns.
+ Respond to facilities requests and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
+ Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify facilities needs and safety hazards.
+ Follow an assigned route to perform inspections and maintenance tasks across multiple locations.
+ Maintain accurate records of work performed, including work logs and inspection reports.
+ Report work orders closed timely and any major issues or repairs that require additional resources.
+ Complete all safety training timely and ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards.
+ Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing updates on facilities activities.
+ Travel to various locations within the designated region to perform repairs and accommodate emergency repairs.
Essential Skills
+ EPA certification is required.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills.
+ Proficient in using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment.
+ Strong communication and customer service skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities, repair, or a related field.
+ Experience with mobile or field service work is highly desirable.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.
