Job Description
This program is for registered CT Techs, PET/CT Techs, MRI Techs, and Breast Sonography Techs seeking full time employment at the Mount Sinai Health System.
A successful hire could result in a bonus total of $10,000 over the span of 2 years.*
_*In order to receive the bonus payment, the employee must be in an active employment status._
+ A new hire CT Tech, PET/CT Tech, MRI Tech, or Breast Sonography Tech who successfully completes their three-month probation will receive a $1,000 bonus payment.
+ If the new hire remains actively employed full time for a total of one year from their date of hire, the employee will receive a $4,000 bonus payment.
+ If the designated employee remains actively employed full time for a total of two years from their date of hire, the employee will receive a $5,000 bonus payment.
** Eligible positions include: All 1199 CT Techs, PET/CT Techs, MRI Techs, Breast Sonography Techs (excluding the Dubin Breast Center).
** In order to receive the bonus payment the designated employee must remain in active employment status for the 2 year duration, periods on leave, paid or unpaid will not be counted towards the bonus.
** Former Mount Sinai Health System employees are ineligible for up to twelve months after termination date.
Qualifications
CT Tech
Qualifications
+ Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
+ Minimum 2 years of progressive CT experience (Will consider new graduates).
+ Excellent technical skills, knowledge of cross sectional anatomy, physiology and positioning.
+ New York State License (L.R.T.).
+ American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (ARRT and current CT certification)
+ Current CPR certification.
MRI Tech
Qualifications
+ Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
+ Strong background in cross sectional anatomy, physical sciences and M.R. physics.
+ 2 years experience in MRI. (Preferred)
+ NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology
+ A.R.R.T. MRI registry.
+ BCLS Certified
PET/CT
Qualifications
+ Completion of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology Program required.
+ Must be registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N) and obtain certification within time frame established at time of employment while working with DOH temporary certificate.
+ Must possess an active license from the State of New York Department of Health to practice where applicable.
+ Must possess an active CT certification to perform diagnostic CT and perform PET - CT fusion imaging.
+ Must have CT contrast certification from New York State which also requires BCLS.
+ Maintains active Nuclear Medicine, CT licenses and BCLS.

Job Summary:
To perform CT Scan studies of anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established standards and procedures.
MRI Tech
Job Summary:
Operates specialized MRI imaging equipment to produce clinical diagnostic images, as directed by physicians. Performs MRI studies of anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established standards and procedures.
PET/CT
Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of PET and with the clinical supervision of the reading physician, the technologist performs PET imaging on patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness.
