    Job Title: Quality Control Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician specializing in AOI X-Ray to join our team. This role involves ensuring high standards of quality and precision in inspecting SMT/PCB boards.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect fully loaded SMT/PCB boards to ensure they meet industry quality benchmarks (IPC-A-610 / J-STD).

    + Conduct inspections to verify component imagery aligns with quality standards.

    + Alert Engineering immediately when X-ray analysis reveals irregularities or deviations in the process.

    + Perform upkeep and routine servicing of X-ray machinery to ensure consistent functionality.

    + Archive X-ray visuals as part of official quality assurance documentation.

    + Report quality-related concerns to relevant personnel, including QC leadership, SMT staff, management, and engineering teams.

    + Assist in refining and applying updates to quality assurance protocols and operational systems.

    + Collaborate with Engineering to enhance product quality and ensure alignment with client requirements.

    + Participate in internal audits and ensure all quality records are accurately maintained.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience performing AOI X-ray inspection.

    + Experience with First Article Inspection.

    + Proficiency in working with SMT components, blueprint reading, and using hand tools.

    + Knowledge of IPC standards including IPC 610, IPC 620.

    + Experience in quality inspection and handling PCB and thru-hole components.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with ITAR regulations.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a manufacturing environment that is very clean and well-maintained. The hours for this position are from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
