    Job Description

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role requires providing emergency and unscheduled repairs, performing mechanical skills involving electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and troubleshooting tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Install and maintain production and facility equipment.

    + Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment.

    + Diagnose, troubleshoot, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

    + Perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

    + Diagnose robotic systems with an emphasis on electrical and programming.

    + Conduct plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

    + Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a maintenance technician with skills in troubleshooting and machine repair.

    + Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics, manuals, and work orders.

    + Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + At least 2 years of experience in maintenance of production machinery.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Capability to use voltage meters, read electrical schematics, and utilize measuring tools.

    + Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or manipulate objects, tools, or controls.

    + Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

    Work Environment

     

    Located in a 710,000 sq foot facility, this role operates in a manufacturer of metal automotive components. The environment is fast-paced and can get hot and noisy during the summer months. The facility supplies door frames to automotive OEMs and features new robotic and laser cutting machinery. Shift hours are 2nd shift from 1:45 PM to 9:45 PM and 3rd shift from 9:45 PM onwards.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Lansing, Michigan.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.

    Benefits start Day 1 (BlueCross BlueShield)

    2 Weeks Vacation (non-negotiable)

    32 hours PTO = 16 in January, 16 in July

     

    $1,000 Signing Bonus within first 90 days (paid out at 30 day, 60 day, 90 day)

     

    Tools provided, 15 sets of uniforms, boot allowance, 401k match, life insurance
