Electrician - 1st Shift - Pay up to $35/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrician responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment in the assembly facility. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and process controls, using electrical test equipment, and working with various AC & DC voltages.

Responsibilities

+ Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and process controls.

+ Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot to a component level.

+ Work with various AC & DC voltages, including 3-phase and single-phase systems.

+ Install electrical wiring and conduits per National Electrical Code (NEC).

+ Collaborate independently or as part of a team.

+ Utilize basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI).

+ Experience with variable frequency drives and motor controllers.

+ Read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

+ Install and terminate communication and video cables.

+ Occasional overnight travel to repair equipment in the field.

+ Utilize various hand and power tools necessary for job completion.

+ Work safely and in a timely manner in all aspects of the job.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician.

+ Ability to use electrical test equipment and troubleshoot to a component level.

+ Experience with various AC & DC voltages, 3-phase and single-phase systems.

+ Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) for installation of wiring and conduits.

+ Basic knowledge of PLC and HMI.

+ Experience with variable frequency drives and motor controllers.

+ Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

+ Basic computer skills and knowledge of applicable software for reporting and troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prefer 2 years of vocational school in electrical.

+ Prefer 3 years of experience.

+ Must be physically capable of bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment

The role involves working on the 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm in a very clean environment. The facility assembles units for data cooling centers, with all metal components ordered externally and assembled like a puzzle. The environment is equipped with fans to keep panels cool. Occasional travel to job sites is required, less than 10% of the time.

This is a Permanent position based out of Akron, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
