Job Title: Tooling Technician

Job Description

The Tooling Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of molds used in production. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining molds, performing insert changes, and conducting routine maintenance and repairs of mold breakdowns.

Responsibilities

+ Clean and maintain molds to ensure optimal performance.

+ Perform insert changes as needed.

+ Conduct routine maintenance and repair of mold breakdowns.

+ Troubleshoot and repair tooling and die maintenance issues.

+ Utilize hand tools for maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

+ Industrial Welding – Arc, Mig, Tig

+ Layout Fabrication

+ Fluid Power

+ Basic Lathe and mill operations

+ Forklift Training

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Excellent attendance

+ Strong mechanical aptitude

+ Ability to work well with others

+ Ability to learn to read blueprints

+ Proficiency in using measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers

+ Basic math skills

Work Environment

The work environment is automotive-focused, with exposure to hot conditions. The position involves working with foam headrests for vehicles, emphasizing precision and quality.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
