Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all mechanical and electrical, as well as building maintenance in the plant. The role involves working with a variety of machinery including industrial shredders, grinders, separation equipment, heavy molding equipment, laminating, and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct 80% mechanical preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

+ Perform 20% electrical troubleshooting and repair.

+ Handle physically demanding tasks as required.

+ Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

+ Understand and implement preventative maintenance schedules.

Essential Skills

+ 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

+ Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on mechanical and electrical systems.

+ Comfortable working in both dirty and clean environments.

+ Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ PLC troubleshooting is a plus.

+ GED/HS Diploma required.

+ Experience in safety protocols and preventative maintenance.

+ Familiarity with mechanical and electrical repair.

Work Environment

The work environment varies, with the plant being hot in summer, cold in winter, and generally dirty. Half of the plant involves grinding and breaking down rubber tires, while the other side focuses on final product molding and preparation, which is cleaner. The plant operates with 125 employees, and the machinery, while up-to-date, requires regular maintenance. The dress code includes long pants, a plain shirt, a work jacket for winter, steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear protection. Safety protocols are constantly updated to ensure a safe working environment. The position is for the 3rd shift, from Sunday to Thursday, 10:45 pm to 7 am, with occasional mandatory or optional Friday shifts.

This is a Permanent position based out of YORK, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $79040.00/yr.
