Job Description
Join a dynamic team as an Aircraft Component Mechanic, responsible for leading the maintenance and repair of aircraft components. This role ensures that all work is performed efficiently and in accordance with industry regulations. You will oversee the development and maintenance of detailed records for maintenance, repairs, inspections, and services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the maintenance and repair of aircraft components, adhering to Airside MRO, Federal, and OSHA regulations.
+ Oversee detailed record-keeping for maintenance, repairs, inspections, and services.
+ Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft components to identify defects and take corrective actions.
+ Utilize technical manuals and engineering documents for component replacement or repair procedures.
+ Supervise installation of new or replacement parts, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
+ Perform or oversee the repair of sheet metal components, ensuring structural integrity.
+ Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing expert guidance for resolution.
+ Maintain detailed documentation of all inspections, repairs, and reassembly processes.
+ Ensure compliance with federal regulations, Airside MRO policies, and OSHA safety guidelines.
+ Provide leadership and mentorship to junior mechanics, assisting with complex repairs.
+ Perform additional related duties to support maintenance operations and improve team performance.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
+ MRO or 145 experience required.
+ Extensive knowledge of aircraft parts, systems, and mechanics.
+ Ability to lead and train others in complex component identification, troubleshooting, and repair.
+ Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and guidelines.
+ A license is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred A&P certification.
+ FAA Drug Test compliance.

Work Environment

The position is initially contract-to-hire, with direct hire typically around six months, contingent on performance and attitude.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.00/hr.
