Facilities Technician
Job Description
As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and construction tasks at restaurants and retail facilities. Your work will include assembling tables, hanging TV mounts, repairing walls, changing lights, repairing basic plumbing, painting, and building small carpentry fixtures. You will utilize hand and power tools, read blueprints and manuals, and interact with customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for removing demo materials, handling trash work, and loading/unloading materials for projects.
Responsibilities
+ Perform maintenance and construction tasks at restaurants and retail facilities.
+ Assemble tables and hang TV mounts.
+ Repair walls, change lights, and perform basic plumbing repairs.
+ Conduct painting and build small carpentry fixtures.
+ Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
+ Read blueprints and manuals.
+ Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
+ Remove demo materials and handle trash work.
+ Load and unload materials for projects.
Essential Skills
+ Facilities maintenance experience.
+ Carpentry skills.

Work Environment
Work will be completed in commercial and retail environments during the night when businesses are closed. Typical hours are from 7-8 PM or 10 PM through the night until 3 AM - 5 AM or 6 AM. Technicians partner with a current technician and meet at the Portage facility before heading to the job site. There is no weekend work as all tasks are completed during the week, typically Monday night through Friday morning, totaling 35-40 hours depending on project lengths.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
