    Job Title: Metal Finisher

    Job Description

    Begin your career with us by mastering the art of grinding. You will utilize a hand grinder to smooth out rough edges and polish metal to achieve a pristine finish. As you grow in your role, you will cross-train in basic fabrication, which involves cutting metal to length using a tape measure, working with brake presses, spot welding, buffing, and preparing items for paint. You will also assist in other departments, including assembly, packaging, and paint, as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Smooth rough edges and polish metal using a hand grinder.

    + Cross-train in basic fabrication tasks such as cutting metal, utilizing brake presses, and spot welding.

    + Assist in assembly, packaging, and painting departments as required.

    + Measure materials accurately using a tape measure.

    + Racking items for paint.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience, education, or hobbies.

    + Experience with sheet metal grinding.

    + Proficiency in tape measure reading and basic math.

    + Experience with hand and power tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Six months of manufacturing experience.

    + Experience with hand and power tools.

    + Completion of shop classes such as welding, automotive, woodworking, or machine/tool.

    Work in a large, fast-paced manufacturing facility where self-motivation is key. Be prepared for a physical work environment that can get hot during the summer months, as there is no temperature control. Our campus is smoke-free.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, Minnesota.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $22.09/hr.
