CNC Machinist - 1st Shift - Pay up to $32/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to produce high-quality parts from prints and work orders in a job shop environment. This position involves working with large machined parts, including weldments, and requires proficiency in operating various CNC equipment, including large vertical and horizontal mills.

First Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Responsibilities:

+ Operate and maintain CNC equipment, ensuring the production of quality parts.

+ Perform set-ups and programming at the machine when necessary.

+ Edit CNC programs and set up tools, including setting length offsets.

+ Conduct spot checks and ensure all machining-related duties are performed accurately.

+ Read and interpret custom blueprints for one-off custom fabrications.

Essential Skills:

+ Proficiency in CNC program editing.

+ Experience with machine set-ups.

+ Ability to work independently without supervision.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

+ 2-3 years of experience in CNC machining.

+ Understanding of product and consumer requirements.

+ Ability to collect material samples and conduct physical tests and analysis.

+ Skills in setting standards for in-process, finished product, and rework.

+ Ability to ensure measurements and tolerances meet expectations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/hr.
